“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” ~ Colossians 3:13
In life, many have done others wrong, or vice versa; however; as faithful stewards, all must forgive, without punishing.
"Forgiveness is God's invention for coming to terms with a world in which, despite their best intentions, people are unfair to each other and hurt each other deeply. He began by forgiving us. And he invites us all to forgive each other." ~ Lewis B. Smedes
It would be so much easier for one to free his or her conscience, and forgive others, or him or her-selves, for something that’s weighing him or her down. one sometimes feel that he or she is going to hold on to that unforgiving spirit; carry the burden of punishing him or herself, and not forget what someone did to cause him or her pain.
“Life appears to be too short to be spent in nursing animosity or registering wrong.” ~ Charlotte Bronte
Occasionally, one needs to look within, and see where he or she has done wrong against another; seek their forgiveness, forget, and not dwell on past hurts; simultaneously, excuse him or her for causing them pain.
"Sometimes forgiving was easy for me; sometimes forgiving was a very bold choice. Whatever kind of choice it was, it always led me to a more peaceful heart. It always left me happier and free to move on to create healthier relationships with others and with myself." ~ Robin Casarjian
