Sometimes, when one is approachable and friendly, others may interpret him or her as being weak; however, if he or she are not receptive or approachable, they can miss their blessings; for, opportunities, when missed, are passed on to someone else...
“I knew that in the silence that followed, that anything could happen here. It might be too late again. I might have missed my chance. But I would at least know I tried, that I took my heart and extended my hand, whatever the outcome.” ~ Sarah Dessen
When one is receptive, he or she stands in a position to get help or support from another, that they would not have had if they were adamant.
“I'm an optimist in the sense that I believe humans are noble and honorable, and some of them are really smart. I have a very optimistic view of individuals.” ~ Steve Jobs
In life, many are faced with opportunities; and, because of circumstances such as listening to what others think of him or her, and opinions of themselves ~ such as limiting ones abilities; he or she fails to be open or receptive to opportunities as they are been presented to them.
“Being receptive, being able to listen openly and well, is a crucial skill for creative problem-solving.” ~ Paul A. Kaufman
If one is open and receptive, he or she will find new possibilities…
"I pray that out of His glorious riches, God may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being." ~ Ephesians 3:16
