? USE INSTAGRAM TO SEARCH FOR 30-50 RELEVANT HASHTAGS:
The Instagram algorithm searches for relevant hashtags related to what people are interested in or were looking at recently.
For example, if people are interested in dogs and you use a hashtag related to a particular breed of puppy, you will have a higher chance of Instagram showing that particular post on an interested persons news feed. Hence why Instagram can be so addictive for many people, because they're being fed what they want, so to speak.
So the strategy on how to take advantage of this is:
1. In the Instagram search bar, search for 30-50 product/niche relevant hashtags.
2. Then simply comment on tonnes of posts, within those hashtags.
Because what do the majority of people do when they get a little notification when somebody has commented, liked their comment or replied to your comment?
...They check out the page!
But by doing this based off niched down hashtags, the people that your are driving to your page will be a lot more likely to follow you, because there is going to be a lot higher chance that they're actually interested!
? ADD 5 HASHTAGS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CAPTION:
What a lot of people use to do to somewhat 'cheat the system', is put all their hashtags in the comments of the post. However, Instagram picked up on this and they didn't like it! So it's no longer as effective as it once was (I'm sure many of you have noticed and would agree).
The magic number of hashtags recommend per post has changed over time, where once upon a time around 30 hashtags was considered to be the best number.
But again, Instagram realised that users were finding it very spammy and annoying and that's no longer the case anymore either.
So after lots of split testing and going off data, the best performing amount of hashtags currently, is just 4-5. It's recommended to put them in the actual caption now also, no longer in the comments.
? SPEND 5 MINUTES ENGAGING ON OTHER PEOPLE'S POSTS, PRIOR TO POSTING ON YOUR OWN INSTAGRAM:
This not only is a great, easily outsourceable strategy to help grow your page, without risking it getting banned like some bots will;
But it's also a clever little tactic that you can do before posting a picture on your own feed,
Because it will organically drive traffic to your feed, creating a higher number of active users on your page than normal, in which many of them will see the post you uploaded moments before, thus increasing the chances of it being liked.
? ONCE YOU'VE POSTED, DO NOT EDIT YOUR POST FOR 48 HOURS:
It's just one of those weird things with the algorithm, but both Instagram and Facebook don't like it when you edit your post when it's still fresh. It can often have a big impact on your organic reach if you do so.
If there's a spelling mistake, don't worry about it. If anything, spelling mistakes can work out favourable for you,
Because there are so many grammar Nazis in the world.
And what do many people do when they see a spelling or grammar mistake?
In fact, some high-level marketers actually use this as a strategy, purposely adding spelling mistakes because it baits grammar Nazis who start leaving comments, which helps contribute to organic reach.
? HEART AND REPLY TO COMMENTS, AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN IN THE FIRST 15 MINS:
When you post, there's like a little invisible window where Instagram decides what percentage of your audience is going to push it out too. By hearting and replying to people very quickly, it encourages them to continue the conversation, therefore creating forced engagement. The more engagement your post gets in that first 15 minutes, the more aggressively Instagram will push it out on other people's news feeds.
This is also very similar to how engagement on your Facebook ads can help lower overall CPM's.
