Facebook  has  over  one billion daily active users, which makes it a very compelling for internet marketers, and affiliates.

Their ad platform is relatively simple to use, however,you must know some of the principal pieces.

Many marketers tend to lose money on their Facebook ads. 

Don’t let that dissuade you from using them. 

Keep in mind that Facebook Ads are more oriented to getting looks, and traffic,basically business development, but they're not a sales machine.

If you're after sales you'll need SEM/PPC;also Solo Ads can garner sales.

Facebook ads can be significant for building your business if you know how to use them. 

But, many marketers don’t know how to use them in an optimal way. 

The tutorials  on Facebook’s page can be quite intimidating.

 It  can take hours  to get through all of the instructional material.

Even then it often leaves people  significantly confused. 

If you choose the wrong Advert type, it could mean a lot of money wasted.

Facebook has a number of different ad placements and ad types. 

There is a single Ad type or  placement on Facebook  that is best for your product or service.

You'll  have to do some testing to find the right advert for your needs. 


 Ads can appear in Desktop News Feed and the Mobile News feed, the latter obviously for persons accessing Facebook with a mobile device.

Your ads can appear in Facebook groups.

Your ads can appear in the right-side columns in Facebook. 

Right  column ads only appear to people browsing Facebook on their computer.

Your ads can appear in Instant Articles within the Facebook mobile app and Messenger. 

Your ads can appear as short videos in both Live video and Video on Demand on Facebook

Your ads can appear in the desktop Feed (for people accessing the Instagram website on their laptops or desktop computers) .

Also,your Feed on mobile (for people using the Instagram app on mobile devices or accessing the Instagram website through a mobile browser).

Your ads can appear in peoples' stories on Instagram. 

 You can make your ads appear as messages that are delivered directly to a person  in Messenger.

First, set your Objective at "what's your Marketing Objective";we'll set Conversions.

Then set dynamic creative.

Then set either split test or Campaign Budget Optimization. (You can't set both together.)

Under Traffic, you'll choose either "Website or Messenger" or "App"

If you choose "App" , "You'll need to accept the "Data Use Terms for App Ads on Mobile" before continuing."

Next specify your audience,here you can customize your audience.

Next,get more specific targeting with "Detailed targeting"

You can run Adverts that people will see in the home tab of their Messenger mobile app. (Not available when promoting an App)

Or, you can edit placements,keep in mind, you have Facebook, Instagram, the Audience Network into which your ads are placed.

Keep in mind, Instagram is better for brand development. Facebook better for direct response marketing.

You can choose Automatic Placements  which is recommended by Facebook  Ads Group.

You now get into the Budget,which includes a Daily and Lifetime.

These are obviously important as you always want a maximum that'll not disrupt your budget....that's a maximum on both "daily" and "lifetime".

Under "Ad" , you set your business page, under "Format", choose video, image, Carousel, or Slideshow.

Final section, add your headline and test.Add your URL and a button,then preview in each venue in which  FB places your advert.

Last set your tracking Pixel,click "Track all conversions from my Facebook pixel"- this is optional.

A faster and more efficient way is to switch to "Quick Creation".

There you can install a Campaign more easily and efficiently as I'd said.
